At the end ….

Finally my thanks must go to my ‘new teacher’ and dear friend, Stephen Hill, who took me back to the Royal Academy after 50 years and gave me the first of the lessons to get this opus off the ground and has tolerated aural agonies but has persevered with me against all odds. My thanks too to my dear old friend Mike Dixon for his encouragement from the outset, continued support and beautiful accompaniment. Lastly to my old friend Andrew Lynwood for the use of his wonderful new recording studio in Norfolk and for his dexterity and expertise in making this old fella sound hopefully just passable enough to leave these ‘memories’ to my children and grandchildren Thank you, dear friends and to dear Bruce Boyce – it is done. and thank you, dearest Jane for all your support and endless patience.
